The prize is awarded to a Swedish company and its design suppliers. The design supplier can be internal or external cooperation partners. The jury of the Grand Award of Design designates five finalists from all received nominations and then selects a winner from these five. The publication of finalists and the selection of the final winner take place at a separate public event.
The prize amount of 250,000 crowns goes to the design supplier. Half of the money is distributed freely and the other part is to be donated to a research project in the design area. In addition to the winner the other four design supplier finalists will receive 25,000 Swedish crowns for their final placing.
